LR: Well, a couple of years ago my daughter Chloe had an event that she had to go to, and at this event that she had to go to she was just as nervous as she could be.  She was nervous.  She was jittery.  She was frustrated.  She was excited.  She was nervous as a cat in a, what they say, a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.  She was itchy.  She was wound up.  But I couldn’t talk her out of it.

Finally she got in the car and she wouldn’t stop.  And she kept going and going and going and going, and I thought, This is not good.  I said, “Chloe, listen to mama.  Nobody is making you do this.  Nobody’s putting pressure on you.  You do not have to put pressure on yourself. If you want to wait a while to do this, just wait a while.  We can do it in a week, we can do it in a month, we can do it in a year.  You don’t have to do this.”

And she got all wound up, and the more wound up she got, the more wound up I got.  And the more wound up I got, the more wound up she got, until she sat in the car and threw up.  And while she was getting ready to throw up, I grabbed her by the hair and I said, “Honey, honey, at least throw up over there!”  And I rolled down the window, and I stuffed her head out the window and she heaved out the window.

And just about the time it started to come out, she turned to her sister and aimed at her lap.  Well, her sister grabbed her and grabbed her by the hair, hung her out the window.  She began to throw up all over the place.  And typical mother, who always has a camera, I said, “I have to have a picture of this.”  I hung out the window driving the car, hanging out the window, taking pictures of my daughter throwing up.

We arrived at the place where she was supposed to perform, and she walked in the door.  And the only thing she said to the woman standing at the door was, “Bathroom, bathroom, bathroom!”  The woman pointed, we ran over there, and she said, “Mama, O mama,? she went to the bathroom on one end, and she said, “Mom, I’ve got to throw up from the other end.”  And do you know what she did?  She screamed and the whole time, and I saw there’s a garbage thing on the wall.  I ran out and I grabbed the garbage sack on the wall.  It was nailed to the wall.  So I pulled the sack out of the part that was nailed on the wall.  She stuck her head in the bag.  She threw up all over the place.  She wiped off her face.  And I said, “Chloe, this is ridiculous.”  She took all the garbage off her face.  She stuck her head under the sink.  She wiped off her face, and she said, “Let’s go do this thing, mama.”  Let me tell you something, Christians, it’s time to suck up and go do this thing.  Let’s go do this thing. Father, in the name of Jesus, I have a message that I believe is from You.  Let’s go do this thing in Jesus” name, amen. Now after having said that, those of you that used to love me before may have to rethink your theology after this message.  But I want to warn you in advance; I believe that this message is for the church because Jesus wrote about it in the Bible.  So do you agree that if it’s in the Bible, I can preach it?  Do you agree that if it’s in the Bible and I preach it, it’s probably from the Lord?  So if you agree that it’s in the Bible and I can preach it and it’s probably from the Lord, you are going to love me afterwards.  Remember what you said at the end of this message.  We’re going to talk about Jezebel.

So Melchizedek comes down in the form of a priest and a king of the Most High.  He is ruling and reigning.  There’s a reason.  He has a certain authority that God wants to release into the earth for every one of you sitting in the seat you’re sitting in now.  But it takes a little time to get there.

How many of you know going through a process isn’t always easy or fun?  But it’s productive.  And by the time I get to you in your little seat right down there, we’re going to find out how productive it really is.  He starts with a priest and a king by the name of Melchizedek, the priest of Salem, king of Salem.  He is the priest of peace.  He’s not the priest of a city.  He’s the priest of a spiritual happening.  He is the priest of nothing missing, nothing broken.  You got that?

Okay, this is getting good.  So you take a priest and a king of nothing missing, nothing broken, means you can rule spiritually with nothing missing, nothing broken.  And you can rule earthly in your kingship and your authority or governmental authority with nothing missing, nothing broken.  God did not call heathens to rule and reign over His children.  We’re the ones that messed that one up.

He has given us priestly authority from the most high, and he has given us kingship authority from the most high. And down through the years, we let it go.  Not anymore.

So you take that kind of authority, and he passes it to Abram.  Why did He do that?  He brought out wine and bread. Sounds a little like the Last Supper to me, doesn’t it to you?  So here he has wine and bread.  He’s about to serve him communion.  The king of Sodom comes up and says, “I’ll give you all these things.”

Boy, every time God wants to do something simple, satan comes along to offer you the whole wide world.  And some of us are just goofball enough to take it.  And God is saying,  ”Here we go.  I’m going to…”  God’s serving up supper. God’s given us a snack, and satan is offering us the whole world.  I’d rather have a snack blessed from God than everything from the world without God, for heaven’s sake.

But listen, some Christians today haven’t done that. They haven’t made that choice.  Well, here he comes out, and he says, “I want to bring you a little snack here.  I’m going to give you bread and wine.”

So I get ready to sell the car and I talk to Richard, and the Lord had a check in my spirit and he said, “Not now.”  I thought, “Okay, maybe tomorrow.”  And He said, “Not now.”  And He kept saying, “Not now.”

Now I want you to understand something.  I red-lined the car twice two weeks ago.  Do you know what red line means?  You drive it till the end and it goes “eeekkk!”  I did.  Got it fixed, did it again.  Got it fixed, and I said,  ”Something is very, very wrong with this picture.  I’m doing something wrong.  God, You’re either going to have to release me to buy another car or You’re going to have to send a car.”

Now I had been praying for probably a year now for a car, and the Lord kept saying, “Not yet.”  Six months ago He told me to find somebody that had a car payment and begin to pay their car payment.  So the very person that went in front of my face, I said, “Lord, that’s the person?”  He said, “That’s the person.”  I said, “Do you have a car payment?”  She said, “Yeah, I drive a BMW.”  I said, “Lord, could we not have a Mazda?”  I began to pay her car payment.

And the Lord kept saying, “This is what I want you to do.  This is what I want you to do.”  Well, four weeks ago my car died completely, to the tow stage.  Now you know you have a problem when you see your car being taken away, not being driven under its own power.  And so I was on my way to our program.  It is live at eight o?clock at night now. Thank You, Jesus.  And so I’m being driven.  I get to the program.  We are on the air.  I am covered in sweat.  I look very similar to what I looked like when I came out tonight, today, without the green bathrobe, real close.  Get a visual.

And I got on television, and I was frustrated, to say the least.  But you know something?  Count it all joy.  He didn’t say everything would be good.  He didn’t say praise Him for everything.  He said, “Praise Him in every situation.”  Not for every situation.  There was nothing good about what I was thinking right then.  But the Lord said, “You renew your mind daily with the Word of God.”

You’ve got opportunity to fall into the sharks.  You’ve got opportunity to swim with the short things.  You’ve got opportunity to go and walk back on that stage, on the shore and just splash around in the shallow stuff.  It’s easy in the shallow end.  But God said, “Not yet.”  And I knew that I had to get on television and say something that I would be held responsible for.

richard roberts on January 12th, 2011

And I want to teach you how to get completely wet today.  Now I want you to turn to your neighbor and say,  ”Neighbor, you’re all wet.  Neighbor, you’re all wet.”  (Response)  Now the question is, what’s been sprinkled on them?  What are they full of?  You know, what you’re full of, you will manifest.  What are you full of?  Are you full of being watered with the word of the Holy Spirit, with the word of the Lord, with the power of God?  Are you watered with your friends?  Are you watered with what your hair looks like?  Are you too busy taking care of what your hair looks like and not worry about what the Word looks like?

All right, how do you get wet?  We know we’re supposed to avoid the appearance of evil, but how?  You know, I love these how-to books.  If you want to grow tomatoes, don’t just hand me tomato seeds.  Tell me how to grow the thing till I get a tomato on the vine.

So here’s the how to.  I want you to look at a couple of Scriptures today.  First of all, I want you to think about this.  Second Corinthians 10:4,5, II Corinthians 10:4,5, what does that say?  “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.”  They are not in our head.  For the weapons of our warfare, for the weapons of our warfare.  Clue number one, it’s a war.  You don’t put on an armor for a picnic.

Don’t think you’re going to tiptoe through the tulips and get the job done.  Satan is going to beat you up every opportunity he has.  But the only way he has opportunity is if you forget about the Word.  “I’ve set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.”  And then He had to go on and say, “Choose life.”

If He set before us life and death, blessing and cursing, don’t you think that it would be a no-brainer to choose life?  But He had to tell us to choose life.  Why? Because even though we think we choose life, the only way to really choose life is to get into the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation and not get into the gospel according to opinion and not get into gospel according to girlfriends and not get into gospel according to my legs are longer than your legs.  My legs are shorter than all your legs, so what difference does it matter?  You get into the Word of God.

richard roberts on January 6th, 2011

And let’s believe this one thing.  Let me just say this before those of you who are going to join join.  Believe that God’s going put a millennial blessing increase upon that $25 that you give, a thousandfold return.  How many of you could stand a $25,000 breakthrough?  According to your faith, be it unto you. Put that hand up one more time.  Say, “According to my faith, be it unto me a thousandfold return.”  (Response)  Now some of you may be tempted to pay four years and say, “I need a hundred, I’d better put a hundred in there.”

Because I believe that many of you, dozens of you, are going to get a thousandfold return.  About this time next year, you’ll be testifying of the glory of God.  Please be seated.  And if you’re interested, raise your hand and our ushers will put one of those envelopes in your hand.  Very simply fill it out, and in the next five minutes you’ll be an official member joining.  Pastors, leaders, anybody involved in the fivefold interest or ministry, God wants to let you be a part of us.  Keep your hands up so that the ushers can see you.

Our next speaker, Dr. Myles Munroe, will be on the platform in a few moments to minister.  He’s sitting here, but he’ll be at the podium.  Raise your hand if you’re interested.  Please raise your hand and keep it raised if you’re interested.

There are envelopes at the end of the row.  If you don’t see an usher, the envelope … well, yeah, we’re passing out the applications, but the envelopes are on the end of the row.  Those of you sitting on the end, just pick up a group of those envelopes and pass them down if you see somebody with their hand uplifted.  Please keep your hands up fairly high so we can see you.  Sometimes you all look alike.

Yes, and we’ll send you one book a month from one of the 77 trustees, most of whom have written some of the most … (End of Side #1) … profound books.  We send that to you free, postpaid, no obligation to us whatsoever.  It’s a gift from the conference into your life.  Last year nearly $100 worth of books went out free of charge in the mail to you who are members of the conference.  I got my collection of books, and I’d like to make one available to the people this year.  I didn’t last year, but I will this year.

We want you to be a part of what God is saying to this conference and what He says, not only during the conference, but all year long.  You will get occasional communications from our office here under Billy Joe’s direction and President Roberts and the chancellor.  They will be giving words to you from time to time, prophetic words and utterances along with the books.

Now how many of you know what this is?  You ever use this?

BJD: Yes, cellophane.

LR: Yes.  Now this is the kind we wrap food in.  Do you do much cooking?

BJD: Occasionally.

LR: Is that a lie?  This is called Saran wrap, Glad wrap.  Do you know what that is, plastic wrap, right?

BJD: Yes.

LR: Okay.  I want to ask you a real serious question.  Okay?  Are you afraid of it?

BJD: No.

LR: If I were to get mad at you and hit you, did that hurt?

BJD: No.

LR: So you’re not afraid of it and it doesn’t hurt?  In fact, it’s pretty innocent to you.  And, you know, in my opinion, this is a good thing, especially in my house, right?  I want you to come here a minute.  Richard, would you help me?  Now do you know that it’s entirely possible to get too much of a good thing?  You know, it’s not possible to get too much of a God thing, but it is possible … would you hold that, please … to get … put your hands down … okay, okay, go, all the way around, but not me.   It’s entirely possible to get too much of a good thing.  In fact, you know, you weren’t afraid of it, were you?  This thing that looked so small to you meant nothing to you.  Sorry.  You weren’t afraid of it, were you?  I mean, it was basically … you know, some of the things that we look at that we think can’t even harm us, we allow satan to come in and use against us and we think, “Ah, it’s nothing.  No one will ever know this.  No one will ever see.”  Lower, lower.  He’s shouting “lower.”

You know, it’s amazing those little things, little distractions that we don’t even pay attention to and we think they’re nothing.  We think they’re harmless and we think, you know, nobody will see it or who cares?  We pay no attention to it.  You know, it’s amazing … what if I called on you to like lay hands on the sick at this moment?  You’re a little what? Wrapped up.

BJD: Wrapped too tight.

LR: We get all wrapped up in the wrong things, that we don’t even think are worth worrying about and we let those little foxes come in and we pay no attention to them.  And until somebody comes along … you know, the Bible says, “What’s bound on earth is bound in heaven.”  And then you’ve got to have some deliverance session to loose you because you’ve got to help me.  You really did a good job.  What’s loosed on earth is loosed in heaven.

richard roberts on December 22nd, 2010

RR: When Creflo Dollar, who pastors one of the largest churches in America in Atlanta, was here-was it about a week ago, Lindsay?-he talked about going in other churches and asking people to stand who were in debt.  He said when he has visited other churches, ninety-eight percent of the people stand.

LR: Can you imagine the people who have the most high God, who is the possessor of heaven and earth, who put all the gold and silver in the earth, who said, “Go subdue the earth,” the same God, that’s our Father, that said “I give you power to get wealth,” the same God that said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you,” the same God that said, “exceedingly abundantly above all you can ever ask or think,” the same God that said, “I will supply all of your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” the standard is glory by Christ Jesus, which means heaven, the walls made out of jasper, gates made out of pearl, that same God is sitting here with ninety-eight percent of His children in poverty or in debt.  Something’s wrong, Marilyn.

M: But, see, I think seed sowing though can break that.

LR: That’s what breaks it is seed sowing.

RR: Creflo was talking about sowing against your need.  Of the people that are calling and pledging, most of them are saying, “I am sowing this against something.  I’m sowing it against a need for a job.  I’m sowing against a debt that we have.  I’m sowing it against” you had a need.  You wanted to see your granddaughter come to ORU, so you’re sowing it for a certain thing to happen.

I believe that we can do that.  God sowed a seed out of His need.  He sowed Jesus, that He might receive mankind back.  And that’s what people are doing.  So many people are calling and saying, “I am sowing it because I need this to happen.”

Like this came from Frances in Rose Sharon, Texas. Isn’t that a great name for a town, Rose Sharon, Texas? “Sowing a $100 seed for ORU debt release, also for my daughter to get a promotion on her job.”  She believes for her daughter.  Now this is just one of many, many who called who are sowing seed as a result of a need that they face in their life.

LR: When Creflo said that about the ninety-eight percent everywhere he goes, something hit me that this is wrong. This is wrong in the body of Christ.  This is not what God intended.  We’re not living in what God calls His highest and best.

And then I began to get over into Matthew 6.  And the Lord woke me up one night, and for some reason I saw single moms-and I’m sure there’s probably a lot of other people in this same condition-but I saw single moms that were working two jobs.  And it was in the middle of the night, and I just had this rush of compassion for single moms working two jobs.

richard roberts on December 13th, 2010

BS: It happened because I began to plant seed in many good places.  And I believed God.  I read that Scripture and, I are telling you, folks, how can you not believe God?  He said, “Prove me now, saith God.  I will open the windows of heaven.  I’ll pour you out a blessing you can’t contain.” And He’d done that.  I mean, He’s done that.

You know, in Florida, we live in Florida in the wintertime and I come up to the church about once a month and preach in other churches down there around the Florida area.  In fact, I’ll be preaching at the Calvary Worship Center in Port Saint Lucie on March 5th at ten o’clock on Sunday morning.

It’s amazing to me that people don’t believe it. But the reason they don’t believe it, we haven’t convinced them yet.  We haven’t sold them on the idea that God is not running out of any resources.

I started my little business.  It began to grow, and I was sowing seed all along.  I was tithing before I was saved because I went to a church where they didn’t believe in being born again.  And I was tithing.  But a lot of people and, see, this is the way the devil works, he knows that if you turn loose of your money, God’s going to bless you because God said He was going to.

Verse 10 says, “I’ll rebuke the devourer for your sakes.  I’ll break the devil’s hold on your business, your family, your grandmother, your mother, your dad or your kids.  I’ll break the hold that Satan has on that person, if you will bring the tithe and offerings.”

You say, “Well, I don’t know where to put it. I’ll tell you where to put it right tonight.  I think there are 10,000 people out there that will write a check, Richard, tonight and mail it in here and say, “I’m going to help that university to educate children.”  You’ve got the influence here of these kids.

You know, the secular university, I live in Ohio and we have a lot of big universities there, but you go up around some of those campuses, especially a Saturday football game, and the kids, you know-well, I don’t have to tell you what they’re on, but they’re on everything.

And here they’re on the Holy Ghost.  And I was in one of the biggest country clubs in Florida.  In fact, probably the biggest.  And I was having lunch in there, and a guy walked up and he recognized that I had been out here on the program with you.  He recognized that.  He said, “I’m a graduate of Oral Roberts University?-biggest country club in America.   I said, “What are you doing here?”  He said, “I’m designing the kitchen for this country club.”  And he’s a graduate of Oral Roberts University.

So your father made the statement they’re going to be all over the world.  They’re going to be every place.

richard roberts on December 6th, 2010

One lady here planted a seed of $1,500. She said, “I have a $200,000 debt, so I’m sowing $1,500 into ORU and I’m going to believe for God to remove my debt.” Almost every person is doing that.

LR: The other night I was talking to Oral on the telephone about seedtime and harvest, and we were talking about sowing seed and planting in famine. And he said, “Do you know what happens when you have a seed and you don’t sow it? You spent it somewhere else or you just. And God has ordained that the tithe, or the tenth, is the seed that you sow back as you tithe, and then on top of that you sow offerings.”

He said, “Do you know what happens when you do not sow the tithe, the tenth, or whatever seed, whatever particular thing the Lord told you to sow.”

LR: Well, of course I knew “because I had talked to him a gazillion times about it. I said, “Yes, you eat your seed.”

He said, “No, you don’t.”  He said, “You eat your harvest.”  Oooh, man, didn’t that hit home. He said, “People think they just ate their seed and that’s all that ate was their seed corn.”

And, of course, growing up in Oklahoma on a farm you know what it means to eat your seed corn. You always save the seed corn for the best because you save that

RR: You don’t eat that.

LR: for the next harvest.

JS: You know what?  That verse in Genesis where God says, “I have given you every herb bearing seed.”  In the literal Hebrew, it is the seeding seed. “I have given you the seeding seed.”

RR: That’s the best seed. And when you eat that, what she’s saying is you’re literally eating your harvest.

RR: You have nothing to multiply.

LR: eating your seed, but you is not. You’re eating your harvest. You can just spend your seed; you just destroyed your harvest.

JS: Well, you know, Proverbs 11 says that he that scatters shall increase. But it also says that he that withholds when he should be scattering, it leads to poverty. You don’t ever want to hold back seed because that’s God’s way of sustaining your life, making provision for your life.

richard roberts on November 29th, 2010

In the middle of my message, students began to get up out of their seats and come toward the front. Now these are students.

LR: These are students who have to pay bills for college.

RR: Students who are going to school. They don’t have time to work a full time job.

JS: Uh huh.

LR: Lunch is a big thing.

RR: They came forward in two services. The students laid nearly $30,000 of offerings unto the Lord toward the university that they are attending.

Now when those kinds of things happen, you know something supernatural is happening. People have been calling us from all over the country. We’ve already received and the Lord has told me I’m to say it again. We’ve already received our first million dollar pledge against debt.

God is doing something.  He said, “Now it’s time. You’ve not talked about it. You’ve had this program for 2 1/2 years.  You’ve not been talking about debt at all.”  And He said, “Now I want you to tell the people where we are.”

And Lindsay’s been waking up in the middle of the night. She’s been watching you on television at 2 o’clock in the morning.  God’s been waking us up in the middle of the night giving us words that we’ve never heard before, and He is about to do something fantastic on this campus like never before.

JS: Praise God. You know, once you get them all healed, they won’t have doctor bills anymore. Now they can sow.

LR: Jerry, my mother did that.  My dad died of cancer when I was 12.  My mother was diagnosed with such a mess following it. It was just months afterwards, one mess after another, with one surgery after another.

And finally they diagnosed her with a tumor on her lung. They called it a spot on her lung. And we’d already been through enough.  I was 12, and by then we had been through enough.

And my mom got healed.  She read Oral’s book, Three Most Important Steps to Your Better Health and Miracle Living, and called up the surgeon and everybody else and said, “What would I have had to pay for the surgery?” wrote a check to Oral Roberts, and said, “Here’s my one prayer request. Pray my daughter finds the right husband.” Honest!  Yes!  We have the record of it.
