But it doesn’t help them any when we beat them over the head.  What does the scripture say, “Not even God would come to a hungry man except in the form of bread.”  You know, “If you ask for bread will I give you a stone?”  You know, God’s a loving God.

Now there’s a time when there’s a judgment coming.  We all know that.  But thank God we’re not living in that day.  We’re living in a day of mercy, of salvation, of healing, of miracles.  There’s an opportunity now for people to give their hearts to Christ.

And I dare say there are many students on Virginia Tech’s campus who have given their hearts to Christ this week who didn’t know Him last week.  So, you know, it’s a terrible, terrible thing that happened down there.  But I pray that many, many lives will be turned out as a result of it.

I’m not saying you have to have that to have something good happen.  But I’m praying that out of that terrible devastation many lives will be changed.

We’ve got to quit, 12:04.  Father, in Jesus’ name, thank You for this time together.  I pray Your richest blessing upon these students, especially now as we come down to the end of the semester and they prepare for final exams.  In Jesus’ name, amen.  God bless you.  Have a great afternoon.  See you in chapel tomorrow.
