There’s a point in our lives where we have to decide if the world system is what we’re going to live on or if God’s system is what we’re going to live on. When the man of God spoke, that woman had a decision to eat that last meal, to take her very last and give it to herself and for her son and die. Or she could get out of the world system and trust totally by faith because and get into God’s system.
what he had was nothing. He wasn’t giving her anything. He was giving the widow a word of knowledge from God. But a word of knowledge from God had in her mind no substance to it. She had the meal in front of her, but how could she feed her family and sustain her life with just words from God? But God said, “No, you trust me and I’ll turn it around.”
Well, you know what, you know what really he was saying? He was saying to her, “You can prove God.” (Exactly) Everybody say prove God. Say it out loud. Say, prove God. What’s proving God? It’s taking God at His word. God said to the little woman through the prophet, “You do this and I’ll do this.” Now this is the way God operates with you and me. “If you’ll do your part,” God is saying, “then I will do my part. If you will sow the seed by giving My prophet Elijah the first portion of your last supper, then I will multiply it back to you and the meal barrel will not diminish and the cruse of oil shall not fail.” And so the little widow did what the prophet Elijah said.
She forgot about what anybody might say. She even forgot about what her son might have said. She did what God through the prophet told her to do. And when she did, something happened, something miraculous. And, friend, every time you prove God, you will find something miraculous will happen in your life.
